Traditional with a contemporary edge

Listed buildings in Glasgow’s west end

The Project

Custom Bathrooms completed renovations on both the main bathroom and en suite in this property with the main bathroom being the more extensive project of the two. Partnered with 3Designs Scotland, we transformed this out dated space into this magical, unique yet functional bathroom.

The Result

As this is a listed property each room has generously high ceilings which must be complimented to keep warmth within the space, using neutral tones throughout with subtle feature lighting ensures the room retains an ambient glow, keeping the space warm and comfortable.

Boutique elegance

1980’s countryside mansion house

The Project

Within the grounds of this exclusive residence there are many stunning features. Our top priority was to retain these and incorporate them into our design. This room is required for everyday use so it was vital that this room was both elegant and functional.

The Result

Using large format Preziosa Agata dark floor tiles partnered with a light shade of marble wall tile accentuates the polished gold brassware and accessories. Gold mosaic tiles in the alcoves with generous feature lighting add a luxurious glow to the room making it an exemplary washroom to start your day.

Nature's warmth

90’s bungalow renovation

The Project

This project saw the renovation of three bathrooms, each designed by Custom Bathrooms, all very different but equally unique. Shown here is the master ensuite. The master bedroom itself has a light rustic oak flooring throughout so it was important to the client to retain this warmth into the ensuite.

The Result

Smooth matt black brassware against large format concrete effect Bottega wall tiles keeping with the contemporary feel to the rest of the property. The floor is finished with a rustic wood effect floor tile, with the wet floor shower being a large Bottega tile cut down to suit, this ensures the shower floor has minimal grout lines and gives a clean smooth surface under foot. Vertical feature lighting partnered with and LED mirror highlights the rooms details, retaining the natural warmth of the space.

Textured luxury

70’s end terraced renovation

The Project

This room was simply a downstairs WC, containing no more than a wash hand basin, toilet and storage units. We wanted to make the most of the under utilised space so with careful thought and consideration Custom Bathrooms created a design that manipulated the layout, transforming this once out dated space in to a beautiful, contemporary wet floor shower room.

The Result

Large format Spiga Bottega wall and floor tiles leave a smooth finish around the room and allow your eyes to be drawn to the highlighted chevron feature tile. The large matt grey vanity unit keeps with neutral tone of the room, allowing the matt black brassware and accessories to really stand out. A corner alcove within the wet floor shower adding some much needed storage and another opportunity to show off that beautiful chevron feature tile.

Sleek and modern

2005 new build home

The project

Our client approached us due to a change in personal circumstances, getting in and out of the bath was no longer viable. Our team got to work designing a wet room that would not only work for them practically but also looked sleek and modern. When a survey of the work was carried out we noted that the house had a low pressure hot water system which meant, in its current state would not be suitable for a waterfall shower. So, we installed and adequate water pump which increased the flow of hot water to not only their new waterfall shower, but to all outlets within the property.

The Result

The bath was removed and replaced with a walk in wet floor shower area with push button controls replacing the original electric shower. A wall hung comfort height WC is partnered with a pebble grey wall hung vanity unit, complimented by a back lit LED mirror which illuminates the stunning nature grey tiles.

Serene Tranquillity

90’s converted country villa

The Project

This en suite was designed and constructed using only the finest materials and brassware. The client was forthcoming with her vision and ideas for this project. It was clear that our client preferred a more natural peaceful setting. With careful thought and consideration Custom Bathrooms brought together this unique ensuite bathroom.

The Result

Large format Bottege Acero wall and floor tiles with an additional wood effect tile under the freestanding bath to add warmth to the floor. The basin wall was finished with a wood veneer, this is highlighted by a large backlit mirror. Below this is a double vanity unit with a granite worktop with wall mounted brushed nickel taps over the twin basins. The freestanding bath is filled with a floor mounted brushed nickel tap. The shower area has a frameless enclosure with waterfall ceiling mounted shower and a grey slate shower tray.
